Sylvester’s outstanding performances as a musician and composer have been highly regarded by industry professionals and record labels. He has worked on music productions for renowned music producer and composer Mr Ng Lok-shing, including as a guitarist for television commercial jingles and providing backing vocals for pop songs. He is active in composition, arrangement, recording, session work and film and television scoring. He has collaborated with singers including Kelly Chen, Chantel Yiu, Aska Cheung, Yumi Chung, Archie Sin, Mike P, Isabella Ng, and many others.

Extensive experience in live performances 

With many years of performance experience, Sylvester began his musical career whilst still at secondary school. He has been invited on numerous occasions to perform as a guest artist at concerts, including the Dollar-a-Day Concert (as lead vocalist, guitarist and drummer) and the YConcept: AMP Project CD Release Show (as guitarist), amongst others. 

Singer-songwriter at Young Age 

Sylvester is a young singer-songwriter who has a wide range of skills in popular music production and instrument playing. He excels in composition and mixing. He is also proficient in various instruments such as piano, electric guitar, acoustic guitar, bass, and drums, showcasing his exceptional musical abilities. 

After graduating from Carleton University in Canada with a Bachelor degree in Music, majoring in Singer-songwriter, Sylvester also served as a baritone singer in the Carleton Dominion-Chalmers Choir. He holds the following professional qualifications: 

• Bachelor of Music degree from Carleton University, Canada (Major in Singer-songwriter) 

• ABRSM Grade 8 Music Theory from the Royal Schools of Music, UK 

Popular Music Education 

In terms of popular music education, during his university years, Sylvester delved into different eras and styles of music, studying music theory and composition. As a result, he is familiar with and skilled in creating various music genres, including Pop, Acoustic Pop, Blues Rock, Punk Rock, J-Rock, and more. 

Sylvester has several years of teaching experience and specializes in providing composition courses, popular guitar music lessons, and music theory lessons for both adults and children. He advocates for enjoyable learning experiences and aims to inspire students with his passion for music, encouraging them to explore various music styles and develop their own personal performance and composition styles.
