    Mr. Au Man Bun went to the University of Southern California to study for a bachelor’s and master’s degree in performance. During this period, he studied with a number of international performers, which enhanced his music skills, including:

    More Than 30 Years of Teaching Experience

    Mr. Au Man Bun, who was born in Hong Kong, started learning guitar in secondary school. When he was studying at the Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts, he studied with Tina Karen Lo and became the first graduate who majored in guitar performance. Afterward, he received a scholarship to study at the University of Southern California, where he studied  with James Smith, William Kanengiser, Scott Tennant, and Brian Head and obtained a bachelor’s and master’s degree in guitar performance.Mr. Au Man Bun has taught classical guitars for more than 30 years and has extensive experience, mainly focusing on classical music and basic skills training. Mr. Au Man Bun has been invited to be the judge of the “Shanghai Guitar Festival”, “China Shenyang Guitar Festival”, “International Guitar Festival and Competition” and “Macao Young Musicians Competition”. Since 2016, he has served as the program and production director for “The Altamira Hong Kong International Guitar Symposium & Competition”.

    As Mr. Au Man Bun has served as a judge for many music competitions, he understands the rules and requirements of the competition very well. Mr. Au Man Bun’s students have participated in international competitions or the solo and ensemble of the Hong Kong Schools Music Festival. Students are studying for a Bachelor of Music at Eastman School of Music. It can be seen that Mr. Au Man Bun’s past teaching of music attainments has been thoroughly mastered, which will help students to reach the performance level.
