Yau graduated from the Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts with a major in Sound Design and Music Recording. She subsequently pursued advanced studies in music production in the UK and Beijing. In 2006, she traveled to Los Angeles, USA, to study under Sidney Fox, Sound Engineer at Disneyland Resort California. Ms. Qiu also holds the following music qualifications:
- Diploma in Piano Performance from Trinity College London
- Diploma in Music Theory from Trinity College London
- Diploma in Film Music from Beijing Film Academy

Raised in a musical family, Yau began learning piano and singing at age three. She is proficient in multiple instruments, including keyboard, bass guitar, Chinese bangdi flute, clarinet, and ukulele. With over a decade of teaching experience, Yau specializes in professional vocal training and instrumental instruction.
Influenced by her background in music therapy, Yau skilfully incorporates diverse instruments and interactive musical activities into her teaching. This approach engages children, adults, and students with special educational needs, stimulating the brain and senses. Students receive comprehensive and enjoyable sensory integration training and physical coordination exercises, fostering the development of individual musical skills.
Extensive Experience in Children’s Education
Yau holds qualifications in Child Music Psychology, Music Therapy, and Music Pedagogy. With over a decade of experience in children’s music education, she has served as an instructor for early childhood music enrichment programs and possesses extensive teaching experience with children with special educational needs.
In her lesson design, Yau excels at tailoring musical materials to each student’s unique temperament and setting improvement goals for specific challenges. Her attentive, patient, flexible teaching style and problem-solving skills have earned her the trust and admiration of parents, making her a highly sought-after instructor in children’s music education.
